3 day weekend!

I'm so excited for this weekend.

I get to go geocaching with Nick which should be quite the adventure.

"Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online."

So exciting!

I also get to see Claire, help Seth move, play ultimate frisbee, screenprint, and most importantly sleep in. Glorious.

Adventures in Simplicity

I really like this episode of This American Life, where a couple brothers ride horses across country.

you can listen to it streaming on the website.

Here's one of my favorite songs by the Weepies

Donald Miller

I don't usually post this many videos, but my favorite Christian author gave the closing prayer at the Democratic national convention last night.
Here he is.

Studio

This might sound strange to those of you with an aversion to dust or industrial spaces, but one of my dreams has come true. Whenever I've pictured my future it's always me in a big old warehouse space wearing ink stained clothing making artwork. I'm renting out a portion of a studio with a few friends and now get to wear ink stained clothing whenever I want.

Obama

My friend Maarten is getting in on the Obama t-shirt game. They're pretty wonderful, I love that they're a wrap around print. And they're only $12. That's a steal!

You can buy one here.

Fisheye

Hey-O guess who designed this awesome Urban Exclusive fisheye Camera!

Nina

I had kind of a rough morning, not feeling so well and I've been kind of stressed out. But I came into work to find a mix tape from Jeff on my desk. It's labeled "the high priestess of soul", and it's filled with Nina Simone.

It's always a nice reminder that,
"I got my hair, I got my head
I got my brains, I got my ears
I got my eyes, I got my nose
I got my mouth, I got my smile"

...and really what more do you need?

Family Reunion

Last weekend was my family reunion in Westminster, MD. It's strange to go and hang out with people you only see once a year and have them be so interested in your life, and wanting to be connected to you. It's really beautiful. Plus any function involving fried chicken, a pool, and volleyball is glorious.

Here's my cousin Dolan, and grandad in the background enjoying the festivities.

Ferry Ride

I made the mistake of booking a 6:30am ferry ride from cape may NJ to lewes DE the night after my friend Donna's wedding. Huge mistake, luckily I got some pretty photos out of it since we were caught in a giant squall on the bay. The mist was beautiful.

Church Marketing Sucks
The church does have a cheesey clip art problem.
