I was going to make another micro loan through kiva.org today. Kiva is a nonprofit that allows you to loan small business owners around the world a little money to help fund their business.
I was suprised when I went to check out that two of my loans had been fully repaid so I didn't have to spend any new money to help two more small business owners.
So with $75 I have helped to fund:
Grace Mutunga from Kenya who makes textiles
Anna Zhuravleva from the Ukraine and sells fish
Matagiaila Elu from Samoa who dyes fabric
3 vegetable growers from cambodia
and a group of weavers from cambodia
It's so much fun!
