Tough or Dumb

I was talked into doing the 10 mile broad street run the day before the race. Mind you I've never run more than 4 miles at one time before in my life. I ran and finished the race.

There's something about making last minute decisions that frees you up to do things that you weren't sure you were capable of doing, because you don't have time to think about the implications. There was no pressure except to finish.

The broadstreet run is the largest 10 mile race in the country. There were 27,000 people there yesterday running in the rain. There's also this feeling that if 27,000 other people can do this than you can too. I like strength in numbers.

wow. you are an animal. you know that people actually train for months to do stuff like that, and here you are, deciding the day before to run 10 miles. i'm not even mad. i'm impressed.
